Benjamin Clair is a versatile artist with seven years of experience working as a creative professional. Skilled in a variety of fields including 3d animation, graphic design, and web design, Ben is most passionate about illustration and concept art. Well versed in Photoshop and Painter, he also likes to keep his trusty Prismacolor markers, ballpoint pen, and sketchpad close at hand. Ben is currently lead artist on the Advanced Content Team at Qualcomm, Inc. He is available for freelance projects.

Ben grew up in the sprawling metropolis of Casper, Wyoming, where he spent his youth playing with Legos, drawing his own illustrations in the margins of books, and crashing his bicycle. After high school, Ben enlisted in the Marine Corps, where he spent five years in Arizona working on avionics and drawing his own illustrations in the margins of training books. He studied Media Arts and Animation at the Art Institute of Colorado, and now lives in America’s finest city, San Diego.

He is inspired by fantasy and science fiction art, the great outdoors, Saturday morning cartoons of yesterday, video games, and life in general.

When he’s not busy drawing or otherwise arting, Ben spends his time hanging out with his wonderful wife, Malynda and their Chihuahua, Chancie. He also spends a great deal of time maintaining and staring at his 72 gallon reef aquarium, watches a lot of movies and documentaries, enjoys a wide variety of music, and plays a lot of DS.
